Hey there, I'm Grace — the gal behind Terra Firma Studio here in Nashville. With over a decade in design, I've spent the last six years at a senior level focusing on fostering healthy teams and exceptional design.
I've made my mark in diverse arenas, from bridging gaps in Coursera's brand identity and implementing enterprise solutions to freelancing for tech ventures. I served as the Creative Director for Nashville, where my team and I revolutionized the city's global image. Most notably, we secured direct international flights with British Airways, MLS team bid and World Cup game hosting, and producing the largest July 4th event in the nation. These successes have allowed me to witness the strategic power of creativity.
I'm all about efficiency and organization, whether it's designing systems or mentoring budding talents. Guiding young designers to flourish is as satisfying as nailing the perfect color palette.
When I'm not in design mode, I'm crafting furniture, saunas, and decks for friends – a testament to my passion for creating beauty, whether on screens or in real life.
In a nutshell, I'm a dedicated graphic designer who thrives on the creative journey. From nurturing emerging designers to shaping global perceptions, my path has been all about the art of design, both digital and beyond. I hope you enjoy my work below.
Brand in Action
As the Senior Designer for Coursera, my role extended beyond traditional design responsibilities, often resembling that of an associate creative director in collaboration with our Global Creative Director, Lotenna Enwonwu.
Within our collaborative framework, I played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and refining campaign materials for Coursera’s first broadcast commercials, ensuring coherence and impact throughout the brands representation.
